Sustaining Members

The Junior League of San Jose offers a rewarding path for long-term Members through its Sustaining Membership program. Active Members who have dedicated six or more years of service are eligible to transition to Sustainer status. This transition allows experienced Members to continue their positive impact on the community by leveraging their acquired skills and knowledge outside the League’s active programs.

To become a Sustainer, Members must be in good standing and pay the annual Sustainer dues. Meeting attendance and volunteer service are no longer mandatory at this stage. For information on dues payment, please contact jlsj@jlsj.org.

JLSJ also recognizes its most senior Members through Emeritus Membership. Sustaining Members who reach the age of 80 and maintain their dues qualify for Emeritus status. Emeritus Members are relieved of further annual dues obligations, while their Membership remains reflected in the League’s records. However, there is no ongoing financial commitment between the individual and the Association of Junior Leagues International.
