Impact Strategies
JLSJ addresses Poverty and Food Insecurity in Santa Clara County through our five Impact Strategies that create lasting community impact:
- Strategic Grantmaking: JLSJ offers unrestricted grants to community organizations, providing them with the flexibility to use funds where they are most needed. This approach empowers partners to address specific challenges within their communities, maximizing their effectiveness.
- Capacity Building: JLSJ enhances the capabilities of community partners by offering training, technical assistance, and resources. This support strengthens their infrastructure and operations, amplifying their overall impact and effectiveness.
- Coalition Building: JLSJ promotes collaboration by bringing together diverse organizations and individuals with shared objectives. This united approach fosters comprehensive strategies for systemic change and effective resource sharing, enhancing overall impact.
- Advocacy/Policy Awareness: JLSJ goes beyond providing immediate relief by advocating for broader systemic changes. Our organization works to raise awareness and educates Members on key issues, fostering a more informed and engaged community that supports meaningful change.
- Direct Service: JLSJ Members participate in hands-on volunteer activities with community partners. These efforts involve providing immediate support and fostering a sense of belonging through direct interactions and assistance to communities in need.
Through these strategies, JLSJ seeks to adopt a comprehensive approach to addressing Poverty and Food Insecurity, combining immediate assistance with initiatives for long-term change, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring effective and sustainable solutions.
