In a world that often focuses on problems, Find the Good Day shifts the lens — to find the good, celebrate it, and amplify it through meaningful action. Celebrated globally by Junior Leagues everywhere on International Find the Good Day, this local celebration brings that same spirit home to Santa Clara County.
Find the Good Day continues a legacy that began decades earlier with the Junior League of San Jose’s Volunteer Recognition Luncheon — nearly forty years of honoring the women whose volunteer work quietly transforms our community. Find the Good Day carries that tradition forward: an opportunity for connection, inspiration, and recognition for the women doing that work today.

FIND THE GOOD DAY AWARDS
The Find the Good Day Awards recognize women across Santa Clara County who lead with compassion, empower others, and create lasting change in their community. We’re looking for women volunteers who demonstrate:
- Compassion & Kindness in their community work
- Empowerment of Others to create positive change
- Community Transformation through meaningful, lasting impact
Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged; JLSJ members and their immediate family are not eligible for nomination.
Four women will be honored this year:
- One Top Award ($2,000 grant, directed by the winner to a Santa Clara County nonprofit of her choice)
- Three Recognition Awards ($1,000 grant each, also directed to a nonprofit of the winner’s choice)
All nominees receive a Certificate of Appreciation, and winners are announced and celebrated live at Find the Good Day.
Nominations are reviewed by a panel of community judges, including JLSJ members and external community partners, based on demonstrated commitment to doing good in Santa Clara County, evidence of compassion and kindness, a track record of empowering others, and measurable community impact.
